Once again, it seemed I had the worst luck when it came to sunsets on this trip.  All week while I was working, my family was sending me cell phone photos of beautiful sunsets and when I get there...nothing.  This night, I waited all night on the beach hoping for something.  Some color eventually broke on the opposite side of the ocean which was no help.  This was the best I could get.  I felt it wasn't even worth walking down to the water because it was clear no color was coming.

This was taken from the south end of the cove.  I wanted to capture the movement of the water coming into this narrow arrow between two rocks while also capturing the clouds coming over the cove while canceling out the white sky.

The weekend after Palm Springs, we jetted of to the Oregon Coast for a weekend.  While we stayed at Nehalem Bay State Park, this great beach was just a few miles up the road.  After a beautiful walk through giant trees, the forest opens up into a cove with a long beach and cliffs on the side.
