This shot was taken from the Upper Trail where there is a small break in the trees permitting a view of both the red rock and the pond.

As I mentioned in the previous post, the Alpine Pond stop offers only minimal views of the red rock, but this spot on the Upper Trail is the only spot I found to get a good shot of trees in the foreground.
