May 24, 2015
Nikon D3100: Tamron 18-270 at 110 mm: ISO 200: 1/400 sec.: f/13
Although this boat was rather distant, I wanted to be sure and capture it looking through the arch.

Land's End

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
May 24, 2015
Nikon D3100: Tamron 18-270 at 27 mm: ISO 200: 1/320 sec.: f/13
Here is the actual Land's End, the very end of the coast coming down Baja California.  In preparing for this trip, I wondered why there were no photographs of this scene in good lighting.  It is because the only way to see it is on a boat tour!

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
May 24, 2015
Nikon D3100: Tamron 18-270 at 120 mm: ISO 200: 1/125 sec.: f/13
Another unique formation at Land's End is the Window to the Pacific.  I took this from a boat in the Sea of Cortex looking through to the Pacific Ocean.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
May 24, 2015
Nikon D3100: Tamron 18-270 at 18 mm: ISO 200: 1/250 sec.: f/10
Land's End offered a few cool perspectives.  This one shows waves crashing over the rocks from the Pacific Ocean entering the Sea of Cortez.

May 24, 2015
Nikon D3100: Tamron 18-270 at 270 mm: ISO 100: 1/500 sec.: f/6.3
Our first morning in Cabo, we did the glass-bottom boat tour of Land's End.  It was a nice ride and we saw plenty of pelicans.

Saguaro Cacti at Thunderbird Mountain

Glendale, Arizona
March 29, 2015
Nikon D3100: Tamron 18-270 at 240 mm: ISO 100: 1/100 sec.: f/16
On our last day, we finally got around to waking up early enough to get a hike in before the afternoon game.  We still didn't have a ton of time so we drove up to Thunderbird Mountain and just hiked around for a couple hours.

Down the Line at Surprise Stadium

Surprise, Arizona
March 27, 2015
Nikon D3100: Tamron 18-270 at 60 mm: ISO 100: 1/25 sec.: f/6.3
Lots to catch up on as I have been breezing through editing my Mexico photos.  I still have a handful from spring training I want to post though.  This one comes from our first night there.  We sat in the outfield for the Mariners-Royals game.

Nikon D3100: Tamron 18-270 at 20 mm: ISO 100: 1/1640 sec.:f/5.0
This was my first time seeing J.A. Happ pitch and I got to see his pre-game warmup for his spring training start against the San Diego Padres from this fantastic viewpoint.

Oceanside, California
September 1, 2013
Nikon D3100: Tamron 18-270 at 78 mm: ISO 400: 1/250 sec.: f/10
I haven't had any time to edit anything new so here is another old one from Oceanside.

Oceanside Sunset

Oceanside, California
August 31, 2013
Nikon D3100: Tamron 18-270 at 38 mm: ISO 400: 1/400 sec.: f/11
This is an old photo from our 2013 trip to Oceanside.  I really liked the sky in this one and wish I could have been set up to take a long exposure rather than a quick shot from our dinner table.  More shots from this trip can be seen here.

Yordano Ventura Bullpen #5

Scottsdale, Arizona
March 27, 2015
Nikon D3100: Tamron 18-270 at 32 mm: ISO 100: f/5.0: 1/250 sec.
This will be my last Ventura shot until I do another round of editing some time in the future.  I liked this one because the bag of balls shows that he is just getting his work in.
