Moorhen in Mexico #2

San Jose del Cabo, Mexico
May 26, 2015
Nikon D3100: Tamron 18-270 at 270 mm: ISO 100:1/160 sec.: f/6.3
While the family was down for nap time, I decided to go explore the estuary more thoroughly.  While I only saw a few exciting things, there were plenty of moorhens to go around.

Mision San Jose #3

San Jose del Cabo, Mexico
May 25, 2015
Nikon D3100: Tamron 18-270 at 32 mm: ISO 200: 1/100 sec.: f/13
Here is my final photo of the mission in San Jose del Cabo.  As we were getting to the car, I noticed the great color in the sky so I had to compose another image before leaving.

May 25, 2015
Nikon D3100: Tamron 18-270 at 20 mm: ISO 200: 1/80 sec.: f/11
I loved this shot because the setting sun made the bell towers glow.

Mision San Jose Fixed Perspective

San Jose del Cabo, Mexico
May 25, 2015
Nikon D3100: Tamron 18-270 at 18 mm: ISO 200: 1/125 sec.: f/11
I used photoshop to correct the distortion and amend the perspective  in this photograph as referenced to my previous post, which is the same photograph showing the distortion caused by using a wide-angle lens.  I like the corrected version, but it also lacks some of the same impact to me.

Mision San Jose

San Jose del Cabo, Mexico
May 25, 2015
Nikon D3100: Tamron 18-270 at 18 mm: ISO 200: 1/125 sec.: f/11
Although we did lots of fun activities in Cabo, this was the only historic place to see and we caught it in beautiful light as the sun was setting and casting a nice glow on the Jesuit church.  This is a normal wide angle shot showing all the distortion.  I processed the image to remove distortion and will post that image soon.

While walking around the downtown shopping area, I spotted this cool old apartment building.  I like the relaxed couple chatting on the porch.

Sunrise over San Jose del Cabo Estuary

San Jose del Cabo, Mexico
May 25, 2015
Nikon D3100: Tamron 18-270 at 78 mm: ISO 100: 1/4 sec.: f/20
After being a let down a little by the beach, I decided to run over to this spot I had seen the night before.  I got there just as the sun was coming up.  It was difficult trying to get a longer exposure to smooth out the water as I didn't have time to put on my ND filter.

Crashing Wave

San Jose del Cabo, Mexico
May 24, 2014
Nikon D3100: Tamron 18-270 at 140 mm: ISO 100: 1/125 sec.: f/11
One of my goals in Mexico was to capture a perfect crashing wave.  I would have preferred to get it with some better lighting, this is the best I could do without actually getting in the water.

San Jose Del Cabo, Mexico
May 24, 2015
Nikon D3100: Tamron 18-270 at 270 mm: ISO 200: 1/1000 sec.: f/6.3

Nikon D3100: Tamron 18-270 at 32 mm: ISO 100: 1/4 sec.: f/11
Happy Fourth everyone.  I haven't been posting lately because I have been busy on vacation.  I took lots of photos at Ecola State Park in Oregon and will be editing those shortly.  In the mean time, here is the Mexican sunrise.
